Is anyone familiar with the Marantz SA-8001 SACD ?
I am on the market for a new CDP and I'd like to get SACD as well... I've been unable to find any feedback regarding the Marants sa-8001. In advance, thanks you for your input.
the best buy and was on the best in class list in o4 in stereophile is the marantz 8400 which plays all formats and sounds like music to my ears for around five to six hundred..a steal...
I've owned the Marantz SA-8001 SACD player for five weeks and am very pleased with it. I replaced the Krell 300CD with it and find the Marantz portrays more detail and transparency than the Krell. The Krell is better, however, at presenting a wide dynamic range and overall power. Nonetheless, the Marantz beats the Krell in overall satisfaction.
