Jbl everest dd55000

hello, I have some everest dd55000 and I would like to know if changing the drives for some tad 4001 would improve my sound?
Thank you

I’m pretty sure these are charged capacitor networks. Check the manual, maybe change batteries

No! See below:

hello, thanks for your advice, I'm really very happy with the everest, I just notice maybe a lack of bass, could you put a subwoofer or would it mess it up?

ditusa - Thanks for the info on the DD55000, I stand corrected. I just figured since the DD67000 were charged cap networks these may also be. Also, correction: These were made from mid 80's to 1989. In my opinion a couple external subwoofers would improve the sound of even these great speakers. You are missing quite a lot of sound below 25Hz. Have fun.

Oh yeah!! I have a passive jbl tik model, but how could I connect it?
Or would I need two?

Yes No!

JBL made a matching pair of subwoofers for the Everest model DD50000 see manual above (low frequency). A JBL B460 subwoofer would be great with the Everest.
