Lyra Atlas SL Cartridge Magnet type??


The Lyra Atlas SL, search all over the Internet, can’t seem to find the type of magnet being use on the cart. Any members have info. on this, can you advise?  Much appreciated!

Yes... i did call the distributor ( Audioquest ),  they have no idea what kind (type) of magnet being use to built the cartridge.

daveyf... . Just got off the phone with Excel Audio ( Thanks both for sharing the info ). I just went and looked at the box, it shows the diagram of the actual cartridge.  Correct it’s a neodymium magnet!  It’s a double neodymium front disc & back disc.  Superior designs!  
Neodymium isn't a superior one - it's just the strongest one.

"Platinum magnet" is marketing vague terminology. It should be cobalt-platinum.

@bukanona  LOL, in my books if a magnet is stronger...by definition it is superior. YMMV.
A platinum magnet would certainly be prettier. Is platinum even magnetic? Is he pulling our leg?
Dave in perfect world yes the more Gauss you'll get the more output cartridge will generate with less turns of wire into the coil.
Although do you know the reason why in this case it's disc shaped if  neodymium so prefect?
