New Buyer - speakers DynAudio Contour 1.1 or 1.3se

IMHO the 1.3SE is the only way to go. They have a great sound, but you will have to have an amp. That can drive them, and with a quality system you will get the most out of these speakers. Also these speakers do need room to breath.

I once traded 1.3se for Harbeth P3Esr and it was a terrible mistake. The Dyns were much, much better speaker.

I will tell you, I think you're in the minority in that you actually listened to the products you were considering.  That's really a step in the right direction.  But as long as you're asking, it sounds like you really want the 1.3's and you might regret it later if you don't.  So buy them and enjoy and you don't have to distract yourself thinking about whether you should have bought them.
