Not too sure what 2nd or 3rd tier manufacturers are?

If you are referring to smaller sized manufacturers struggling for name brand recognition, it has been my experience that this is where many of the breakthroughs in design and equipment performance are initially introduced. I am sure of one thing and that is every audio company has crossed those lower “tiers” at one time in their history.

I’m going for the education, listening experiences, as one can never get enough of those, and finally purchase more music! Not too often one gets to rub elbows with the larger vinyl distributors and I am sure they will be running sales or are always open to dealing so you can save money or purchase even more music.

NYC and an audio show is my kind of weekend.

Give Andy Singer a break. I've talked with him a few times at these shows and he was always friendly and non-condescending knowing all the while that I was not a potential customer.

You know, this kind of juvenile and frankly stupid posting was disallowed years ago on the forum. I remember the case of Audiofeil who ended up being banned. I cannot for the life of me understand why the moderator does not step in here. Are we back to the good old days of anything goes?
