I use GE Triton Reference speakers. Each speaker has an 1800 watt Class D amp for the woofers and they are both plugged into a Shunyata Hydra 4 conditioner. Sound=fantastic.
Power conditioning for powered speakers
While it's one of the more confusing and less researched categories in audio, I believe in power conditioning. I think a good power conditioner can improve a system's sound quality. I currently use a Shunyata Hydra AV and I'm quite happy with it. I am also considering moving to active speakers someday that utilize DSP crossovers and tri-amplification, whether onboard or outboard. If I go with powered speakers, I wonder if I should plug them into a power conditioner or just straight into the wall. Does it matter whether the amps would be class D or Class A/B?
