Raquel, not quite true on your service statement. Sumiko will provide service to any owner as long as the speaker was originally purchased from an authorized dealer in the USA. You could be the 10th owner, doesn't matter, but you will need the original receipt or they will have to check the serial number. I don't agree with their policy but it's their company not mine.

Manpr6, I own Mementos. I like AR, especially their preamps. I've heard them and had a few pieces in my house. I think you will like the combo.

I don't get it either. If you want warranty protection, buy new from an authorized dealer.

Any company that offers a transferable warranty requires proof of original purchase. In the case of Outlaw Audio, they even require written permission from the original owner, I presume so they don't fix stolen equipment for free.

Perhaps Raquel refers to "out of warrenty" service - it is a fair point if you buy used then it is better to go with a manufacturer that supports their products irrespective of when, where or how you acquired the product. And some pro speaker manufacturers do follow this philosophy. Few, if any, consumer speaker manufacturers are able to do so because they outsource most of the parts and after 5 years or two or three new models/versions later ....no more spares.
