Connections that remain intact for a long period of time are prone to introducing distortion. I'm not saying that one should loosen and re-connect their cabling at every listening session, but simply pulling and re-seating the connections can sometimes be of benefit.
As far as moving / bending cabling goes, just be careful and don't bend / kink the cable. Gentle movement with very soft radiuses will do the least damage and allow the cable to perform at its' best for a long time to come. Sean
