Streamer question

I've looked and looked and can't find the answer to my question.

I use a Bluesound Node to stream both Spotify and Qobuz.  The Bluesound lets me use the web app that I downloaded to my Ipad to play music.

I want to upgrade, but I'm not seeing whether or not that is possible.  Most of the better streamers ($2000 or so) seem to have their own software which I would rather not use.

Anybody know the answer to this?

Thank you!

@parker65310

I have the BS Node N-130 withe the Teddy Pardo PS and their cable and it is a huge improvement.  My only concern is that there are better DAC chips and chipsets out there. I have been looking at Aurender, but the prices are a bit high concidering  my amp was only 6K. It seems silly to put a 6-10K streamer on it with my external 2K DAC.

@tom2441 still waiting for delivery 📦, will definitely let you know my impression. @curiousjim That’s the most logical thing I’ve heard all week.lol. Over spending on gear is a way of life for the discerning audiophile.

@ curiousjim

it’s says a lot about the value of my/your DAC/streamer setup, particularly the Teddy Pardo linear power supply, when you’re considering it would take $6-8k for a meaningful upgrade :).

Pardo supply for everything digital - i have a stack for them for switch, NAS and ROON server / core host….

Hey, does the Pulse have a USB output to run to my DAC and does it work with Amazon HD?

Thanks.
