Streamers rabbit hole

boy.  there are so many streamers out there all claiming to be better than the other.  My head is spinning.

I have an Anthem STR integrated amp, SVS SB300 sub, and Sonetto II G2s.  Looking for a good streamer pairing for this system.

Comments please....

I keep reading that Eversolo has poor customer service, but very few of those comments are from people who actually needed customer service. I have the Eversolo A-10, and previously had the A-8, and the both worked flawlessly with no need for customer service support. I enjoy both the sound and user experience of the A-10, although I have it paired with a Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme pre-amp. What did you find lacking in the streamers you auditioned?

I was strteaming through my Anthem MRX 740 and ML ESL 9 speakers - Tidal mostly. Built a dedicated 2 channel system over past couple of months. Speakers still the same, Benchmark AHB2 power amps and Benchmark HPA4 pre-amp.

Decided on Orchard Audio PecanPi+ streamer / DAC ($1,499 new). Extremely happy with it. Support is brilliant too

Another vote for Innuos.  You can choose the one that fits your budget.  Used are available and they hold their value.  Their Sense app is easy to use and the customer service and community are very helpful.  Mine has a CD ripper too which is great if you have CDs you want to keep in the same system.

It sounds like you talked yourself into the NAD M33 V2! You would save space by not having a separate amplifier and the M33 is Class D, so no heat. It has Dirac Live for room correction, HDMI eARC for TV hookup, 32-bit DAC, both MM and MC phono inputs, RCA Jacks to accomodate two powered subwoofers, and uses the popular BluOS streaming software with a 7-inch touchscreen for streaming.

Veritable Jack of all Trades integrated!

The Nagra streamer is likely a repackaged Playback Designs streamer. The Nagra is likely $5k and the PBD is maybe $3k. I owned the older PDB STREAM-IF and it was an excellent streamer. I sold it to someone who owned the $25k PBD Dream DAC. Do some research on the 50k Nagra DAC and PBD.

The STREAM-IF was as good as the Sonore OpticalRendu streamer and the Lumin X1. I owned all 3 at the same time.

One of my 3 Sonore Optical Rendu's died today. It lasted for a very long time. When 1 more OpticalRendu dies I will buy the Lumin U2 Streamer.
