I'm building a condo that will not have the rear surround wires. I've been considering a 2.1 system. Any recommendations? I just had a thought about using 5.1 speakers on a cabinet and aimed differently with a receiver. Create my own surround effect???
you can always run speaker wire around the baseboards of your room as well, and then up to the speakers. Mine run under the carpet, then up the back wall. They are also painted to blend into the wall. Conceal the wiring and go for 5.1. Its alot more fun that way.
