Synergistic. Big sound, plenty of bass, beautiful midrange and wonderful imaging. The more you pay the better you get. The newer are better, but the older ones are so good I simply search around for what is in my price range and try and get the newest/best within my budget. All Synergistic whether it be power cord, interconnect, or speaker cable will have the same or very similar sonic character making it very easy to shop by price.
The icing on the cake
Good afternoon to Audiogon friends!
i Hope you will enjoy music with covid situation and be fit as a fiddle.
well i have pretty good stuf in my room. A sweet c7es, a neutral as water Hegel h190 and a Swiss tool minidsp shd. Well I do my best with absorbers and diffusers. A good begging is a half battle....so i am ready for the last things. In order to not rob a bank I want your experience.
Well my cables are: for the speakers atlas hyper 3.5, interconnect atlas hyper integra, power cable for dac atlas eos dd and for the amp Vovox initio. I am looking for involving sound, with good midrange.
well the atlas cables have good imaging, is a true sound cables but not the involving sound that I want. Generally speaking Furutech on the other hand are smoother but not true cable...and lacks in dynamic but more involving. I did not try other speaker cables only some cheap. Speaking for interconnect cables....I try the van den haul the name that was very good and involving but I didn’t like the lows freq and also the imaging. The atlas interconnects is ok with good imaging, detail with balance and tight bass, excellent attack but not involving. About power cables I try the following.
supra lorad....was not an improvement in any device.
Belden the black one with supra plugs. It was a bit involving but with no detail and a bit dark.
furutech tcs 31(with furutech plugs f8 e38)....very good lows with no good imaging in highs.dull mids.
Vovox initio very good imaging, neutural in a cold way not involving. Lacks in bass.neutral in a cold way.
gigawatt Lc 1 same as Vovox with better detail better lows but a bit thin in voices.not involving and neutral in a cold way.
atlas eos dd neutral in the middle of the gigawatt and the Vovox.
I read that gigawatt lc 2 is very good but is not my cup of tea. Ιt has voices with more body with the same characteristics of this company. It is an upgrade but not for that I am looking for. I read many good things for the van den hul mainstream but also that a wireworld is better from it without saying if it is involving....wireworld lacks in dynamics. Atlas 4dd I will be also a good option but not with involving sound.
i didn’t say that I also have dedicated line with gold fuse and a keces filter.
i know that is a balance situation. I don’t know if wireworld is as involving as the vdh....and also I don’t know if I will find a power cable as the Vdh with better performance.
In interconnects I see vdh have many models and I am a bit confused. I love the name but is not perform good in bass.I don’t know if the other models is like the name in mid freq. maybe some guys from here will be a hand of help saving some pennies. As the hifi god says....is an expensive hobby buying cables.
speaker cables is a point that hurts. First I will play with power cord and interconnects and maybe I will escape from buying a speaker cable.
also be my guest for some advices in racks and isolators feet that not dry the treble and the mids. Involving is my name.
As you see I am looking for micro details and I am believer that cables makes sense.
thanx in advance
