Vintage Krell

Hello All. I am looking for general opinions only, not specific recommendations. Do the vintage Krell KSA-250 and KSA-150 power amplifiers share a similar sonic character, with the KSA-150 being less powerful, or are there significant sonic differences between the two?

These amps were designed around the same time so they sound very similar. Maybe the KSA 150 might sound a little sweeter, the 250 more dynamics with more slam. Your choice might hinge on room size and speaker efficiency. KSA 250 is hard to beat. They will heat up your room faster if this is a concern.
