@slaw - Somehow I missed  Son Volt "Okemah and the Melody of Riot" when it can out. I took a quick listen on YouTube and liked what I heard. They have it in stock at my LRS, so I think I'll pick it up next time in in the shop.

I'm curious if you bought the most recent Son Volt Record - "Notes of Blue" and what you think about it. I bought it when it first came out and I like it quite a bit.
@reubent,

Yeah, I bought it but it was defective, sent it back, never replaced it.

Actually, I think I saw they have a newer one out after "NOB".?
I love Fridays (and Tuesdays). Those are used bin restocking days at my Local Record Store. Walked out this morning with these beauties from the today's bin:

Harry Nilsson - "Nilsson Schmilsson" - original 1971 release
Chet Baker - "Quartet" w/Russ Freeman - 2016 Vinyl Lover remaster
Ass Ponys - "electric rock music"  - Score! Never seen one of these before. New, unopened in the used bin. The LRS owner says the band members are regulars and they sometimes bring in excess stock and trade on other stuff. Was luck to find this one.

And, from new stock - The Record Store Day 2018 Release of Son Volt - "Okemah and the Melody of Riot" (Thanks to the recommendation from @slaw )

Once through the spin clean and I'll be listening to new records this evening....
