Double Wide AES/EBU
I had a chance to listen to a system yesterday with single wide and double wide configuration, I have pretty sensitive hearing and I can barely distinguish the two configurations if there is any. Minimum of $6k to $7k in the hole for components of...
Double Wide AES/EBU
Thanks AL, I thought as much. Yeah dual mono was my impression too. I did some extended reading about it and apparently it separates the right and left digital signals. There is a series of copying on a single cable in order to separate right and ...
Double Wide AES/EBU
Isn't AES/EBU segregated? Coax, BNC and Optical are prone to Jitter where as the AES is not because it skips the whole clocking process??!! Someone correct me if I am wrong but this is my understanding, hence most people consider it as superior co...

Monarchy M22B, possibly with the rare 24bit upgrade, sweetest sounding DAC EVER, simply amazing! It has out performed so many DACs the only two worth mentioning is the Bel Canto DAC3 and the Electrocompaniet ECD-1 (also the Benchmark DAC-1). If yo...
24 bit/44.1?

Choice of XLR cables
I have used both and I have tried many cables against the Verastarr. Verrastar is more neutral, much quieter, mids are natural. I would pick the Verastar Silver Reference over Black Mountain in XLR configuration.
