Your tube amp related Harbeth experience. +1 on Harbeths with Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum III. I have SHL5+ and love the combination. Alan Shaw is right on at least one point - to get good dynamics out of these they need a decent amount of power. Thus, the Rogue, with 100 W. Of course,...
Integrateds, which one?????????????? I've not heard a Rogue Tempest, but I love my Cronus Magnum II, and its phono section and headphone amp. It has the power to drive anything, including my Harbeth SLH5+

Help me get started again. Tube amp... I tend to agree with the Harbeth designer when he says they benefit from a healthy amount of power. Therefore, I think something like the Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II is worth a look. Excellent phono section too. Made in the US and a super value.
"Good tube Integrated Amps" +1 For Rogue Cronus Magnum II. I needed more power than my Cary CAD-300s deliver for my Harbeth SLH5+s and am very happy with the sound. KT-120s! I don't do so much vinyl anymore, and the phono stage gives me everything I want. |
