| TSM MMii..........amp pairing?? I have the TSM MXe speakers. I'm using a Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum and am quite satisfied. I typically play CDs and use a Rega Apollo. Also a Sonos for Apple Lossless. | |
| Speaker for Rogue Cronus Magnum with high WAF I have a Cronus Magnum and Merlin TSM MXe speakers. New, these speakers cost about $4k (current Is MXr) but they can be found used in the $1500 to $1800 range. I put mine on Sound Anchor stands and they sound just great with the Magnum. | |

| solid state amp for merlin tsm's ? I've tried my TSM-MXe's with a Luxman L80-V and Adcom GFA5400 / Adcom GTP-450 and they sounded very good in both cases. The integrated I am using now, and prefer, is the Rogue Cronos Magnum, which is a tube amp. | |
| Amp suggestion for Merlins? Just to wrap up my own question - for several reasons, I ended up purchasing a Rogue Cronus Magnum. No complaints. First tube amp. We'll see what the future holds. Thanks to everyone for their excellent input. | |

| Rogue Cronus Magnum preamp tube I'm also not keen on the stock preamp tube. Currently I'm trying a JJ (Tesla) 12au7. I've read good reviews on Psvane so may try that as well. I do think I'll check with Rogue first. |
