Is the NHT xd System worth buying today? NHT will still service this system if a problem arises. And they do not charge much. Usually $165.00 to fix an issue. I still own a system with two subwoofers. One can download Firmware upgrades and filter changes such as moving the crossover f...
Rogue M-150's sonic flavour I've owned the M-150s for over 10 years now. I've found tube rolling can get great results with these amps. 12ax7s, 12au7s, EI34s, Kt88s, all can make a difference. The 2 12au7s will make the least different. Mullard NOS and other 12ax7s can rea...

Experienced with Audible Illusions preamps I`ve been listening/using AI preamps for over 20 years. Currently have an L1 an an L2. (and others) Both are great for the money. To my ears - an inflection point begins here for quality to price point. Never had any mods done on mine. Great produ...
NHT XD's well built? An addendum. My two cats and one dog occasionally react to the sound from these speakers as if it is a living entity in the room. On occasion I have been startled in the same way!!For what it`s worth.
NHT XD's well built? Bought a new home in April 2010. Have a living room that is 21 feet x 24 feet - peak height is 15 feet. The NHT Xd does not fill the room at high volume and create "Room Lock." Beautiful and pristine sound at low to normal listening volumes. (I`ve...
Audible Illusions Modulus 3 and Rogue M-120 Okay? I had Rogue M-120`s and had them "upgraded " to the M150`s. I preferred the sound of the M-120`s. Nevertheless, I have used both the L1 and L2 linestage and have had excellent results with both. Tube rolling with the Rogue can make huge difference...
NHT XD's well built? I recently bought the NHT Xds from Listen Up. No problems whatsoever. This is a great speaker system. The Xds have the best off axis response I have ever heard. I still own a pair of NHT VT-3s. (another great speaker for the money)

All have their strengths and weaknesses of course. The hafler is great for the money - its main fault is excessive siblants with vocals. The folks at Musical... |
