The longest you have owned any gear? I was a high end dealer back in the early 80s and sold Phiiips CD players. Kept a CD-80 for myself and had it modified by someone in Iowa, I think. I also was a dealer for "Speaker Art" by Bob Gross. I have a pair of his Odessy speakers. I have sp...
How many of us are truly satisfied with their systems? It's like speaker wire. I was a high end audio dealer about 30 years ago. I sold speaker wire from $1.00 a ft to infinity. Speaker wire will alter the sound of most systems. Which one sounds best? Some are obviously better then others but many peo...
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open. I seem to prefer amplifiers that have Toroldal Transformers. Names like Naim, ATC, Belles etc. Is there something about the design of this type of transformer that gives a sound signature? Thanks Terry

Need $1500 integrated amplification suggestions... I would recommend either Classe or Naim. Both have excellent int. amps. Used price might be even less than $1500. If you don't like them, you can sell them for close to or maybe even more than you paid. Terry
Speakers to hang on to for LIFE I use to be a high end dealer. Sold all the classic speakers. I always went back to Rogers. I just like the sound. There is no best speaker. It may take you a long time but keep the pair you like the best. I found a pair of speakers made by a fell... |
