Accuphase e260

Hello there!

Any opinion regarding the Accuphase e-260?

Sound?

How is the built of it? Any plastic? Cheap?

Thanks

I have an Accuphase E-280.  I find it to be more to my liking than the amp it replaced, which was a Luxman 550AXii.  The build quality of both Accuphase and Luxman is superb.  Accuphase has chosen to offer internal DAC and phono stage as add-on options while Luxman includes a fine phono section which handles either MM or MC cartridges with aplomb.

In terms of which brand pairs "better' with which speakers is in the ear of the listener. There are "definitely" no absolutes,  One person's "good" is simply that.

I own the Accuphase 380 and the build quality is impeccable Imo.

The attention to detail is better than my Pass integrated. As for sound, I can find nothing to complain about.

OP:

FWIW, I liked my Accuphase E280 so much that I  very recently moved further up in  the Accuphase integrated amplifier lineup.  I cannot speak about the E260, but can reiterate what I and others have said about Accuphase SQ and build quality.  There is a lovely tactile feel to their controls and if you are partial to a retro aesthetic, they are simply beautiful to behold.   (Pardon this bit of audiophile hyperbole but it's true.). :)
