Best System for 8-9K

Looking for a second home system for roughly 8-9K for used equipment. Need 2 sets of speakers for two different rooms. Room sizes are both about 25*30. My musical preference is female vocalists, acoustic guitar and jazz. Would like to run both sets of speakers off one amp/pre/cd. The speakers will be in the same position in the home on two different levels. The pre must have the ability to turn the second set of speakers off or to control the volume of each set of speakers independantly.
