best vta for linn ekos tonearm

i've had my lp12 setup for almost five years, but this is the first time i've tried to adjust the table myself. i've recently installed some mapleshade audio tweaks to the arm & cartridge & i didn't note where the arm was set prior to taking it apart.

is the armtube supposed to be perfectly parallel to the record surface? back of arm a bit higher than cartridge? back of arm a bit lower than cartridge?

when viewing the table from the front, should the arm be parallel to the armboard & plinth when it is locked into the holder?

i have been unable to find any diagrams or instructions anywhere on the web.
