@neveo: Looks like you may have an almost perfect sized room, however you need to cover the glass and the concrete. You can often buy high end speakers, that were used as demos-I did. I think your amps have plenty of power, as long as the signal is clean. The benefit of having a large room is, your low frequencies have a chance to form. Space your speakers out from the side walls and front wall several feet, placing your listening chair out the appropriate distance. Leave the space in your listening triangle free from any tables, etc, and according to me and many, place your gear on one of the side walls-not in between or behind your speakers. You should have several feet behind your chair. Incorporate diffusion and absorption on all walls, as well as ceiling. Dennis Foley and Jim Smith gives excellent advice on this subject.
big room speaker upgrade advice, Elac Adante AF_61?
sorry for the typos
have a room that is 27 x 30 feet with 12 foot ceilings, concrete floors and lots of glass. mostly listening to house/ electronic, funk and classic rock. and home theater using a Musical Fidelity M6500i { 500 wpc dual mono blocks} for 2 channel with 2 Rel S5’s , mostly source is sonos.
i damaged a crossover , tweeter and driver from my triangle antal 30th anniversary model and thinking i might need something larger for the room size . my budget is 7k for a pair of mains and a center would love to spend less { have a 9.2 set up for HT}
would the adantes AF-61 be a good choice for my amp, type of music and room size? i heard them in a listening room bt with a very expensive amp , also read about the new KEF R11. would appreciate some advice in advance of some other recommendations that l should consider. my only other speakers have been dali ikon 8’s and other triangles in smaller rooms
