Cables between Krell and Focal to replace Nordost

Due to a change in my "man cave" I need to rewire my system. I'm using Nordost Red Dawn and I'm extrememly happy with them, however, due to their flat construction I cannot use them near my desk for fear of bending them.

I'd like to get recommendations for new speaker wire and I prefer round wire simply because it will work better. Looking for something less than $300 a pair since this might be a temp install.
