I had the cxa81 and cxnv2 for less than a year. The amp itself is powerful and it's presentation was muscular and forward. You either will like this or not. Personally I did not. The bass sounded muddy and poorly controlled. At the time I was running a pair of tannoy floor standards. Well I wound up replacing the combo for the naim uniti atom. I didn't move or change the speakers at all. The difference was night and day. Tight bass with amazing attack and control.
I dont think the cxa 81 is necc a bad amp but perhaps it just wasn't for me.
