Cream at Madison Square Garden

Did anybody happen to see this show? I see the Royal Albert Hall shows will be released on a DVD by Rhino Records.\ This is the Amazon link; a CD will also be available.

Will be interesting to see what kind of role Clapton assumes since he was, basically, a guitar player (and always has been in my book; ie, lousy song writer and mediocre vocalist). A great guitar player but a guitar player nonetheless.

Ginger Baker had been slamming crank when he was with Cream and Blind Faith. He was a user plain and simple. When I was young I had a black and white poster of Cream and (L-R Clapton,Baker,Bruce)no matter where you went in my bedroom Ginger's eyes would be staring right at you.His jaw bone was so gaunt, his pupils were pins, I'm surprised he is still alive today and still recording jazz.
Just got the Royal Albert Hall CD, Jack Bruce's voice sounds like crap. He has no range or depth it almost makes the songs he's singing unlistenable, thank God for Clapton's guitar work and vocals. They should have just let him sing everything.
McCartney can still sing but his range is much smaller. Dylan's voice has degraded appreciably. Jagger, well forget him. He never had any range to begin with. Clapton, unlike Bruce, had a lot less range to lose. Parts tend to wear over 37 years.
