thanks for telling me about the Moon products…have you compared them to any other dacs and streamers? My first research they sound good..
Dac with build-up streamer
That should say built-in streamer ……I have been playing around with streamers lately, reading and experimentation lol…doesn’t the streamer get reclocked by the Dac?..so what’s the point, is it better to have the streamer built into the Dac?…less cables …anyone have recommendations for a dac with a built in streamer?…5k or less…

So sorry, Ron. I'm not very technically inclined. I really didn't exactly understand what you were referring to when you mentioned "UI" (User interface) LOL. The only info I could find was that the user interface of the DAC consists of buttons, a control ring, and a display. You can also use it's remote control. You can also use software applications to control the DAC (I'm not familiar with this, as I don't use it). Hope this answers your question. Ken |
@silverfoxvtx1800 i owned Moon 280D and in my upgrade path have listened to Linn and DCS prior to finalizing on Moon’s 791. The preamp functionality was significant as was the price. There’s a lot of great DACs and the overall digital chain (streamer, CD player and/or music server): listen and trust your ears. |
