The Audioengine A2+ are about the same price and offer more connections as well as Bluetooth wireless, and they go down to 65Hz (-2bB) where the YU2 states 80Hz with no level indicated (lame IMO) — that could be a big difference. Plus the A2+ is front ported, which may be an advantage if you’re placing the speakers close to a back wall. Where the Kanto wins is aesthetically with more attractive finish options, but otherwise the A2+ looks like a better all-around deal. And Audioengine is a very established company with an excellent reputation for quality and service and tons of very positive product reviews out there. BTW, I have their B2 speaker that uses similar components to the A2 and it’s excellent. Hope this helps, and best of luck.
Desktop speakers like Kanto YU2
hi
I am planning to buy a pair of desktop speakers. I have zeroed in on Kanto YU2 speakers so far. My room is medium sized and i sit close to my system. So looking for compact speakers with balanced and wholesome sound mostly used for watching movies and listening to music. are there any options at the same price range as Kanto YU2?
