Digital Amplifiers

What do people here think about the new digital amplifiers, some of them based on B&O's ICE technology?

PS Audio, Bel Canto, Audio Research and Cambridge Audio are some of the brands that use this technology.

I've read nothing but good reviews about this type of amplifier.

Does anyone here have experience with them?

Thanks.

Also, please note that the term "digital amplifier" is a misnomer, unless the amplifier has a digital input and a digital front end (which few of them do). They are more properly called Class D amplifiers, although even some of the manufacturers use the wrong terminology.

See also my mini review of the Jeff Rowland 312 amplifier on issue 188 of The Absolute Sound. I believe it is on page 88.

Actually it's on page 80. Nicely done and very informative for a mini-review!
