Ehernet cable question in streaming systems

I want to install a "better" ethernet cable  between my streamer and remote wireless Google pod (my stereo system is in the basement}.  My question is this:  Should I also get a better ethernet cable between my router and modem (up stairs in my office) at the same time?  My thinking is, when I  upgrade the cable to my streamer, shouldn't the cheap, Google supplied cable between the modem and hub router be replaced too?  Thanks, Jim

Digital music? It is a transport of tiny analog square waves that receivers interpret as 0 and 1. Good cable practicing also apply here. Noise and leakage currents can travel on the line. Some cables preserve the bitstream better on the way to the endpoint and the receiver/converter has better info to work with. Cabling is always the icing on the cake in audio.

I think the Supra is better then the Audioquest Cinnamon. I have had both. Supra can sound a bit darker, but it is the absence of noise (due to the pitch twist and the shielding). They also interfere less with other cables.

You can get Cat6 shielded from monoprice get STP. Cat 6a and 7 can be found with various types of shielding STP or S/STP . Cat 8 is usually S/FTP. In a home network you’re not going to notice a difference. Best to use 6a or 8 , Cat 7 is a bit different.
Ditto Supra Cat 7 or Cat 8. Doubt anyone can tell the difference between them foe digital audio.
