Electrocompaniet EC 4.7 Preamp-Opinions?

Electrocompaniet is great sounding stuff as long as it is sounding. I have the CD player and a 250 amp - only a problem developed with the amp and I sent it to the distributor in March and have not got it back yet. I got to listen to it for about a month. The dealer - Audio Heaven has tried to help but to no real avail and will not give me my money back. He even mentioned that the preamp usually has the problems. For what it is worth.

ljgj, who is the distributor? have them send it to heinz price - he's an electrocompaniet-authorized tech in florida. i have two older amps, an older preamp; he's seen 'em all for updating; the oldest amp had a problem w/it when i 1st got it (used); the others have been trouble-free. his turn-around time has been a couple days... contact heinz @: http://www.angelfire.com/biz/grundig/ regards, doug. oh yeah, i like the sound, too...
