FMS Cables??

Does anyone know anything about these speaker cables/interconnects? What are the Strengths? Weaknesses? Thanks!

I have an FMS Digital Data cable ( MSRP + / - $300 @ 1 meter ). I found it a very definite step up from many other copper digital cables that i had tried. The main benefits were increased separation of instruments with less smearing or blur, more natural timbre and harmonic presentation, etc... When compared to some silver cables within the same appr price range, it did not fare as well. Going to a Tara Labs or Illuminations gave me almost as much of a step forward as the FMS initially offered. However, these did so with an even more "natural ease" and even greater amount of resolution. As such, these cables were a good step forward for me in terms of both musicality and detail.

As to how the rest of their products fair, i have NO idea. I just figured that i'd pass the above info along, as i don't think that they are a real common cable. Sean

They are custom made, some swear by them. I've heard some of the high end ones- very nice. More info at http://homepage.mac.com/fmscable/ (an interim site for him. )

I owned a pair of Microwave balanced interconnects and found them to be very neutral, detailed (without becoming dry), and transparent. I put them in and forgot about em.
I'd still own them but the preamp I bought was not balanced and so I traded them for Acoustic Zens (the copper ones) which are great as well.

I beleive one can drive oneself crazy with interconnects. They do make a difference, and I feel if you find one that keeps you from thinking about it, it's a keeper.

Oh yes, I found the FMS to be very well constructed.
