Frequency band of sibilance

When you hear sibilance, typically when a woman sings too close to a mic, what frequency band does this sound occupy?

I bought speakers with soft dome tweeter and sibilance disappeared. Sound is still open and midrange is fantastic but all "s" sounds are natural and clean.
