It is my understanding that the "next generation" Ultra-fi DAC will be at the RMAF show in both the RidgeStreet Audio room and the GR Research room. The DAC's name will be different from the "iJazz" name that was an idea the designer was considering. (I think the new DAC name will be released at showtime). From a sonic perspective, the new Ultra-Fi DAC will be very special sonically in terms of "fluidity and space" that is very similar to analog comparably. This is something very new to my ears when it comes to digital playback. I also doubt that any SPDIF player - DAC will be able to match this new Ultra-Fi DAC regarding these "analog-like" sonic merits. I'd love to see a direct comparison against the insanely priced SPDIF type stuff (like Esoteric). I strongly suspect that Ultra-Fi's solution may be better in terms of emulating analog sonically ;-)
