Hegel Music Systems H390 Integrated Amp

About a year ago, although I kept my large full range speakers, I had to move into a smaller room in the house to accommodate my audio system.  Moving into a smaller room, negated the necessity for separates, so based solely on reputation, internet reviews and videos, intense research, and the auditioning of other brands, I opted for the Hegel H390.  And boy, did the H390 not disappoint!!!  I'll make this short and sweet.  First off, this thing is an absolute power-house.  It has an extremely high damping factor and will drive practically any speaker to it's fullest, including my notoriously inefficient Revel Salon 2 speakers.  Secondly, the sound quality of the Hegel H390 in simply astonishing.  I don't feel like I'm missing out on much at all after going from separates to the H390.  I couldn't have made a wiser choice!!!

Glad to hear how happy you are. I thought the Hegel sounded great when I went looking for an integrated. I did end up with the Luxman 590AXII but only because I liked some of their added features and felt the sound was at or very near par with the Hegel.

The Luxman is an outstanding integrated as well.  I use the H390 as an amp/preamp only.  I have an outstanding stand alone DAC, and in conjunction with the H390, produces some of the best sound I've been able to achieve in over 25 years in high end audio.
