Thank you all for the feedback so far. I’ll clarify a few things. The system does do many things and is not dedicated just to audiophile listening. So, due to some space limitations, still big on vinyl and have my turntable and phono pre-amp taking up space plus a headphone amp and Marantz SA-10 SACD player but more importantly there needs to be an ease of use factor for other members of the family - I am in the market for a single box solution in the $5k price range. My wish list includes, touch screen for easy of use by others - my dad’s not loading an app on his phone, internal storage capability for my DSD music library (my main digital listening material) with file sharing protocol support, Qobuz support, ARCe input for 2-channel TV audio, Bluetooth for when the kids need to stream music, balanced outputs as the digital source is a decent distance away from the amp, WiFi support would be nice but not necessary as I have a 10GB wired network connection nearby. Visualize it this way, my audio gear sits in a rack to the side of the room and the digital source is centered to the viewing / listening area and connected to the amp via ~15 foot XLR cables. The T+A TCD 110S transmission line loud speakers come out about 4 feet into the room with a large screen TV mounted to the wall. REL T/9x sub’s are to the left, right and behind the main speakers.
HiFi Rose RS150B vs. Eversolo DMP-A10
I have an Eversolo DMP-A8 that I just moved to a system in a second home, so now I need to replace the streamer/DAC in my primary system. I started with a Cary Audio DMS 550, then replaced it with the DMP-A8, with a linear power supply upgrade, now thinking about going with the RS150B or the new DMP-A10. Any thoughts about the two? The streamer/DAC will be connecting to my Accuphase E-4000 integrated. The internal storage of the streamer is important to me as it houses my main music library - ripped SACD's so mainly all DSD files.

Just watched this Gustard X30 review, and he has the same Accuphase you have Man, many people are loving this latest Gustard- this X30 is a render/has a Roon endpoint- download Jplay and stream Qobuz/Tidal and you might be happy? Heck, I am building a second system and I might try that- I might be happy- one can always add a dedicated server like the N200 down the road. Plenty of choices out there! |
