Holo Audio Titanis

A shoutout for the Holo Audio Titanis,

on my InnuOS Zenith Mk3 connected via USB to an Antelope Audio Zodiac Platinum it resulted in a MAJOR improvement in sound quality. While Holo Audio gives no information on how it works, the improvement for less than $100 is simply astounding

The Phoenix in my mind is a bit of a kludge: rather than improving the overall clocking of the Dac and by asynchronous USB the connection and slaving to the server it only addresses the latter. Reclocking the Dac is more powerful, that’s the route I have chosen.

And btw, rather than reclocking the Ethernet connection à la Phoenix Ethernet I use the same clock to reclock my Etherregen. Two fer one and it works beautifully

I hadn't realized that. Phoenix obviously designed for dac with top flight usb board installed. These boards have high quality OXCO clocks, adding another clock would be redundant.

A good ocxo clock alone is in excess of $5000. Not many dacs have those inside…Also, the actual DD/AD conversion needs superior clocking as well, it isn‘t just the USB clocking. Good clocking is crucial digital audio.

I hav3 been using the USB perfect it was $250  and regenerates a new digital signal before going to the dac.  How the Holo audio compares ? No idea

it would be a good shoot out though.
