Hq Player Roon Up Sampling PCM Settings & Opinions
I'm in a trial with HQ Player using Roon. I am mainly streaming Tidal and 44.1 pcm flac files ripped to my Music Vault Ultra 2 and W4S Dac 2 dsdse.
At first I was pretty excited about HQ Player but the more I listen the more I prefer the way music sounds at 44.1 without HQP. It seems to be more natural and less digital. I have also found im prefering lower up sampling rates and really dont like the 44.1 conversion to dsd very much.
There are so many different combos of settings to try. I would like to think that there is a perfect match for my PC and dac but I just haven't found it. Any thoughts?
