In a world rapidly moving to digital and away from analog, this article in this mornings New York Times may be of interest to some: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/23/business/media/23steal.html?th&emc=th
Hi A'goners. I checked out the article from Jeffcott's post. Has anyone out there have had old CD's (15-20yrs) go bad? Similar to laser rot that did occur. Joe
Interesting article which begs this question: What will happen when traditional projectors stop being manufactured? Won't tradiditional film-based movies suffer the same hardware upgrade retrieval loss as digital? I should think that not only digital but traditional films need to be archived in a universally agreed-upon format.
