Infinity Quantum 2 - crossover rebuild - parts

In an ill advised quicky local buy, I ended up with 2 Quantum Two speakers that need a lot of work. 

I also just noticed that I bought two different versions, one WITH rear facing EMIT, the other without. 

But even worse: the previous owner in an attempt to tri-amp the speaker really messed up the crossovers by adding resistors and different caps, cutting wires, taking resistors out of the path, etc. 

So I need to completely rebuild the crossovers.
a) How are the 3 EMIT wired up (wiring diagram only shows them as a single driver)?

b) I only found the wiring diagram below showing the version without the 2 pairs of binding posts. Can someone link/ost other versions that show the binding posts (also want to make sure that the component values have not changed?

c) What type (correct term) of capacitors and resistors are used in the crossovers? Need the type/term (and values) to order the correct/recommended parts. 

d) What is a good/recommended place for one-stop-shopping to order the above parts? 

e) The original wiring is horrible 20 gauge 'phone wire'. Should I keep it (since 'original') or upgrade to somewhat 'better' wiring? 

f) Just floating the idea: I was thinking to wire up all 4 ways/paths to 4 pairs of terminals at the back of the speaker (where original terminals were) and keep the crossover external in a separate box. Thoughts?
