Whatever the reason why the error occurred, you should at least back up the data first, or if it's too late to do that. You can still retrieve the data. Want to know how? Check this out; How to Salvage Data from a Broken Hard Drive (Corrupted, crash, won’t boot, etc)
is hard drive dead
I have a yamaha cdr hd 1500 when I tried to cop cd to hdd, no go, so I went to hd utilities which showed 0 in all areas, cds play fine. Hard disc is formatted as slave as it should be. Is the problem in a circuit board some where in unit or is it a bad hard drive? Why would'nt it register on hdd utlities? HELP.
