Jamaican tribal music?

As someone who heavily disliked reggae on the whole up until 5 or 6 years ago, I am got to learn all I can about all the various styles of reggae.

tonight I was watching the Classic Albums episode for Bob Marley’s Catch A Fire. If you’ve seen it, at around the 26 minute mark there’s a group of gentlemen drumming and chanting together and I find it riveting.

is this a style I’ve never been aware of? Is there a particular name for this?

any info is helpful.
