Jazz suggestions please

Hello,

I recently started to listen to alot of Jazz Lps and I would like to expand my knowledge with some of your suggestions. I've listend to a veriety of styles and periods and what I've liked the most and WOULD LIKE TO STICK WITH are the sounds of Oscar Peterson, David Brubeck, Bill Evans, Ray brown (love that bass). Any other suggestion along those lines would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Oh, jump about anywhere into the Art Pepper catalog and enjoy. They're all good and many should be included on any basic list as "starters".
In addition to the above mentioned artists, look into Cannonball Adderly as well as Kenny Burrell. Good stuff.
For some mellow sax I couldn't recommend Houston Person more highly. He plays lots of standards. Also Ron Carter on the bass viol. In fact they have teamed up on one recent release and Ron has a series of releases. Ron is a tad more contemporary in style and selections.
I'm surprised nobody have mentioned the DUKE or the Grover Washington, Jr. I also love to listen to Laura Fygi.
To the modernist pianists you mentioned,I would add Horace Silver,George Shearing, early Herbie Hancock, and McCoy Tyner.
