KT120 for Graaf GM50B?

Just curious if anyone has tried KT120s in place of stock KT88 or KT90 tubeset in the Graaf GM50B integrated amp. I substituted 6550s at one point and shortly afterward the amp blew a cap. Don't want to damage my amp! (Don't want you to damage yours either!)
