Lowther Speaker Amp Recommendations

HELLO, I'M LOOKING FOR A LOW POWER TUBE AMP THAT WOULD MATE WELL WITH MY LOWTHER DRIVERS THAT ARE IN THE 2.5 MK11 BASS REFLEX CABINETS. I WOULD HAVE TO BUY THEM SIGHT UNSEEN SINCE THERE ARE NO DEALERS IN MY AREA. FROM READING SOME OF THE THREADS I'M LEANING TOWARDS THE SMALL BERNING HEADPHONE AMP , OR ONE OF THE AMPS FROM DECWARE . ANY HELP APPRECIATED, WOULD LIKE TO KEEP MY BUDGET AROUND 1000.00, THANKS.

I have the Bicor 2000 cabs, with the DX2 Drivers wired in parallel. They are nominal 4ohm.. Are there any 2A3 amps that will run 4 ohms comfortably? I have seen a lot of 300B single-ended amps that have 4-ohm capability, back to the question. I am using an Exposure xxv rc 55w per channel class AB at the moment 'all is working reasonably well. I have an Electrocompaniet AW 2 X120 and EC 4.5 pre that will comfortably drop to 2 ohms that do not sound as good as the exposure when wired to Lowthers. The electrocompaniet is also Class A. So things are not always as expected. I am looking for a Pass Labs First Watt offering to try out as many seem to think that this combo works well with Lowthers. These lowthers ar not early lowthers and were designed in the 80's so are designed more around digital musics inception.

I had the Berning MicroZotl(headphone amp) with my Lowthers, and I found it to be a wonderful sounding amp, but just a little too weak to get the volume levels that I wanted in my large room. I have since moved up to another Berning SET ZOTL amp which is superb.

Depending on the model of Lowther driver, and the efficiency level, you should be able to get a nice SET amp like a 2A3 or 300B to work very well with your speakers.
I have Sun Audio 2a3 driving Lowther PM6A in Voigt Pipe (Twl Mod.) and they work wonder.
Definitely Decware. I had Lowther MkII Big Ports and have now switched to Decware HDT's. I use the Decware Signature Mono's. (SV83S) Super amps. Detailed, spacious, dynamic, inner-detail. They are amazing amps. You can actually use the SE84C-S and have exactly what I believe you're looking for.
