Martin- I would not jump into a Lyngdorf without listening to one for a while. I found the 2170 to be dull and defenseless among amps of similar value from Leben, Luxman, VAC, SPEC, and many others.
In my opinion (only been at this for 20 years and I’m 45 years old) this is another latest and greatest amp that people will defend and love and they can keep it. It’s thrown around it these threads that the lyngdorf with easily replace $20,000 or more in amps. I question the hearing of those making such claims. Sure it’s light and energy efficient and has a remote and you can tune the volume well but beware of such claims. The room perfect enhances some sound qualities but it’s not much of a baseline to enhance. YMMV.
