Magnus Audio

Wondering if anyone has feedback to report on these amps, particularly those using them to drive low impedance speakers/electrostats. What comparisons can you draw with other amps you have used in similar applications?

I've been using a Magnus Audio MA400 with B&W 802D's for about a year now. The combination sounds great together. They are the real deal & very well built. It's the only amp I've run with these speakers so can't comment on a comparison.

It's the same designer as Canary Audio, and their stuff is very good. I saw a review on 6 moons of the class A amp that was good but not a rave. Terry London gave a good review of one of their amps though on Home Theater Review.

I don't have one but I had to look at the companies website.

Just looking at the datasheet, it appears this is an honest Class A amplifier.  There aren't many companies around who make a real, honest, Class A amplifier.   Decent warranty, too.  It clearly has a solid high current capacity, doubling into 4 Ohms.  There are some reviews on the net, too.

It's pricey but there is a dealer network, maybe you can do a road trip to one and check it out.   Perhaps pay for it with the understanding you want to audtion it at home and can bring it back if you don't like it.  At that price point, it is not an unreasonable request.
