Mark Levinson: ML-36 & ML-37 combo versus ML-390S

I currently have a Mark Levinson ML-36 and a ML-37 in my system. What are the advantages or disadvatages of changing to a ML-390S? I know that I will eliminate an interconnect, but what can I expect to hear?
