How good a speaker is dependent on the criteria they use to evaluate them.
Thiel's, Proacs, KEFs and similar are all good box speakers. But if you want a more open sound, you're going to be looking at Electrostatic, Open baffle, and Omnis.
I've owed the ML Ethos speakers for 6 years, and to my individual tastes they are excellent speakers. World class, not so sure.
