You might want to look at Everest Record CD re masters too. When Bullock instruments went under Mercury swooped in and bought there mixing board and used it for their Classical Prescence series
Mercury Living Presence Abby Road 2013 CD Remasters
I’m considering purchasing the Mercury Living Presence Box Set.
I’m currently listening to 1991 CD Remasters on Audio Research
electronics driving Magneplanars. The quality of the original master
recording made in the 1960’s is amazing. The 1991 CD releases
are some of my favorite recordings. Smooth, dynamic and never
digital sounding.
Has anyone here who owns the 1991 releases purchased the new
2013 Abbey Road remasters. I’d be interested in knowing how they
compare to the excellent 1991 remasters.
Also is there somewhere I can purchase the set at a discount,
Amazon wants a fortune for them.
One more thing. Is there a list somewhere of the contents of
the three boxed sets.
